Michael Jaloussis

Michael has been a lawyer for more than 40 years. He joined McNally’s on 22 June 1981 as a graduate. He practices in various areas of the law, including Industrial and Employment Law. He has represented our clients in many important cases involving unfair dismissals, sham contracts, unfair contracts, retrenchments, underpayment of wages & entitlements, non-payment of superannuation and non-payment of other statutory entitlements.
Michael has broad experience in many other areas of the law and has represented clients and provided advice in Coronial Inquests; Commissions of Inquiry; Criminal hearings; Defamation cases; challenging Wills and deceased Estates; Income Protection and Disability Claims; Superannuation Claims and general litigation, including commercial litigation matters. He has also represented many Police Officers and Correctional Officers in disciplinary and criminal matters.
Over the years, Michael has personally advocated cases in the NSW Industrial Relations Commission, the Chief Industrial Magistrate’s Court, NSW local courts, Fair Work Australia, the Fair Work Commission and the former Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
Michael has also appeared in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme and District Courts of NSW, the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, the Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW, the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the NSW Industrial Court.
Michael is a member of the Industrial Relations Society of NSW, the Law Society of NSW and the Law Council of Australia. He speaks fluent Greek and has represented members of the Greek community.
